Too many passwords! Is it just me? Or do you find that we need too many passwords to function in this modern world today? I'm sure it must be necessary, but I find it a source of stress. If anyone out there has a suggestion, I'm all ears!!
You can probably tell, I'm stuck on something right now, because I can't remember the password. So I'm a little frustrated, but it seems to happen to me too often, and I just wondered if I not alone. Maybe someone knows something I don't. Well, that's a given, but I'm willing to learn, if you're inclined to share.

Ha! Ha! I had to laugh at this post. My husband had to explain to me that a computer is like a big file cabinet and I was the secretary. He told me to set up a file of passwords. We have a password for everything but can never remember the passwords so the file of passwords we cannot do without. It helps us navigate through our business.
Happy filing! (:
Now that's what I'm talking about! A tip that can actually help me! That you, cherdecor.
Sometimes I think about hiring a computer tutor for a lesson or two, but then I talk myself out of it by telling myself that I learn it by reading a book. You know what happens next, I don't read the book, so there you go. I could figure it out on my own - I should live so long! It takes FOREVER, and is forevermore frustrating. I'm turning my hair gray. Got any more great tips? I'll bet you do.
Oh no, you are not alone! I have the same problem. It would be nice if you could use the same one for everything, but they all have different requirements.
I have a file for mine too.
Not only do they all have different requirements, but some of them have to be changed regularly. Just when I've gotten one in my head, I have to think of another one and try to remember that.
Could it be some kind of a conspiracy to make us all go crazy?!
This is what you do: use the same username and password for everything: just add 0's to the end if you need to adjust the length. I use the same one over and over, for EVERYTHING, and trust me, it works.
Your desk makes me laugh - there are scraps of paper everywhere with passwords on them! No wonder you forget them, I would, too! :)
Hi, Gram! I just discovered your blog! Why didn't you tell me you had one?
I have a written list of all my web sites and passwords in a hidden drawer.
That's funny that you wrote about too many passwords. I have aprox 60 passwords that I have to keep up with for work and personal activities. And the stupid things expire at differing intervals..... Next time I get a computer I am going to get one with a fingerprint scanner...

Loved reading this. It is therapeutic to write down ones thoughts. In today's world we can all become authors. he greatest novelist of our time were people who just wrote about their life but did it in a way that let you see, feel, smell, and taste what was happening in the moment they are describing. I had the benefit of a good technical education but really learned nothing about literature, but I loved to read. My family wasn't wealthy but we each got to subscribe to one magazine and there was always the library. My parents wanted to make sure we had every opportunity to read. Still there was so much I missed. I few years ago I decided to take the siesta time in our hot summers to read southern authors. So I started with Faulkner then Welty. Then I went on to Erskine Caldwell and of course I always kept u with Pat Conroy. Finally I git to Ernest Hemingway, unfortunately I was almost dead when I started Hemingway and I found it all to sad, so I had to take a break from him. In the end I concluded that these people didn't possess vivid imaginations they simply described life as they saw it but did it with a voluminous vocabulary and were able as i said earlier to describe characters and scenes in such a way that it touched all of your senses. I loved your comment about talking with friends and then accepting a ride home in their truck. You wanted to sit in the back . Well so did I. I could feel the breeze blowing by at that time in the early evening in the south when the heat is gone and there's no better feeling. I have lived a lot of places but that feeling I'v e never been able to find any where else.SO I too got to be a 15 year old again. to me that means you are a gifted writer. You took me from where i seat to a place and time long ago and let me enjoy that moment one time. In my situation, the moments are limited now. So each time I can have an experience such as this I cherish it. One final thought , I have read so much that i though I too could write. So, without telling anyone i started a book. I did the outline many times but found that a much better vocabulary than mine is needed. My primary source thought the book was a good idea but he thought a I should wait a while since a lot of the characters are still living. I'm afraid now the characters will outlive me. I had a cousin who had the same problem that i have. She died at 37. I stay in touch with her daughter and she keeps me u todate on her brothers literary efforts. He has just published his second novel. So the meanest man in Lindale now has three novels published by his grandchildren and seven patents. I guess we didn't turn out so bad afterall
