Today was a nice day, my youngest grandson's 1st birthday. He had his own cake and another to share. I'm not sure he's too much into cake, but he liked opening the presents and playing with his brother and cousins from Macon. It was fun and not too busy. Sometimes I think we tend to over celebrate, know what I mean? It can be a little overwhelming when you're only one year old.
Yesterday we went to the graduation ceremony for our next door neighbor. That was good, and then we shared a meal with them. So I guess we've just been partying all weekend. It doesn't seem like we did anything, but I'm kind of pooped.
That's about all that's been happening in gramsworld lately.
Ya'll stay safe and have a good week.

Those one year old parties are fun - they don't get it but they usually enjoy themselves. I'm proud of you - 2 posts in 1 week!
I feel pooped, too. It's amazing how tiring just sitting in a car can be.
But I had a fun time in Commerce - I had a bit of unexpected "fun" money and TIME, which is another unusual event for me. So I bought a few clothing items. I bought Jack a pair of shorts at the Osh Kosh outlet - or was it Carter's? - for $5. I wish I had bought more, because they fit perfectly. I may get you to grab some more for me if you are ever over that way or want to be over that way! They are having a big sale next weekend (the Outlet stores, all of them) if you need anything. I saw so many sweet baby girl outfits! I thought of Ava, of course, but I thought I'd wait til after the shower and see what or if she needs anything then.
Busy day today, but fun. Church was interesting - we had a sermon on church discipline this morning. Fun. :)
The kids had their "spring recital" tonight which is always sweet and nostalgic - it's a way of marking time for me. They always sing "The Tree Song" - remember that one? Claire and Sophia are the only 5th graders and they had to sing a verse together this year. The last time they did that they were in 2nd grade. Of course, our video camera batteries were both dead.
All the kids did great, Jack was an angel. They are all very happy because they have had such a delightful weekend with friends - and now they are bummed because summer time has started at church. Still, with 2 new pastors, there is much more going on than in past years. They will have fun.
We had a parents' meeting after church for the youth. I am happy with the way things are going, and thankful that as Courtney and Claire are just getting going with the youth, things are being organized so well. It's really a good group.
Time for dinner - and bedtime. Talk to you later.
Yay! Another Blog. I'm proud of you. You're on a roll.
I need to send Brooks a gift. I can't believe he's a year old. Wow.
See you soon, sooner than you think.......!!
Love ya
Happy Birthday To your little one. Today was my daughters 29th Birthday. I still remember her first birthday party. I woke her from a nap to celebrate (what WAS I thinking??!!). I was only twenty years old myself, not really old enough to know better! =)
